They're as American as a crusty fruit-filled treat and as much a closet great as pants and T-shirts. We're discussing baseball tops, obviously. The ageless sportswear staple is a piece of our social character that rises above time, age, sexual orientation, calling, and even sports. Small kids, developed men, and ladies wear them, as do ballplayers and tennis players, umpires and truck drivers, and mailmen and servicemen. Without a doubt, it appears there are baseball top styles to suit each individual over varying backgrounds. While it was a straw cap that the New York Knickerbockers previously wore as a component of their baseball uniform in 1849, the baseball cap as we probably are aware it today was conceived in 1860 when the Brooklyn Excelsiors baseball crew wore fleece tops with a round crown and long level pinnacle.
